Portomarin, our destination for the day, a 20.5 mile hike with finally sunny warm spring day, a few hills, a bit of mud, but not bad, although the last 5 kms are always He’ll. They damed up the river burying the old town under water, before they took the church apart and rebuilt it on the plaza of the new town stone by stone. Seeing the marker was an occasion, can you believe we have walked for 700 kms? Like the Energizer rabbit still going strong to Santiago. We added more countries to the pilgrims we’ve met; Israel, New Caldonia, Norway, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil, Italy, Née Zealand, Australia, Holland, Belgium , England, France, Germany, Korea, Japan, China, Tai wan, Nigeria, Canada, Mexico, I’m sure I have missed some, but it is a amazing brotherhood on the Camino. Buen Camino!
