Lots of cows but no ice cream!!! Yesterday we started the days walk in a cold hard rain at 700 meters elev. And for the next couple of hours it was a continuous climb up over 1330 meters, the highest on the Camino. Monica was amazing, we were walking along a road and were passed by 4 women on bicycles, they stopped about a third Of the way from the top after the rain increased, and we caught up with them, they were slow getting going again, bit slowly caught up and passed us. Now the summit was on sight and Monica got her kick going and join them as the reached the top. We had a celebration beer together, they were four young ladies from Russia. When we stopped for the day we were soaked to the skin and freezing, nome of our raingear is any good in a serious storm. Today started out in fog, but cleared giving us a very nice day, but after the continuous rain of yesterday, we had some serious mud puddles to transit when the course went to country roads. A lot of people And groups are just now joining the Way, so there is more competition for lodging, we now need reservations for the night. Just a random thought, add Gaudi to the list of people I’d like to share a glass of wine with, definitely a person of interest.
